As a specialist of textiles you will be responsible for specification, design, implementation and verification of wearable electronics and textiles in Polar products. The job will include maintaining existing textile products as well as designing new pilot products, materials, features, textures, and techniques. Providing support for After Sales will also be a part of your tasks. You will work in the Mechanical Application team in our R&D function.
Type of employment:- Strong experience in textile design and wearable electronics
- Master or Bachelor degree in relevant field of study (e.g. textiles)
- Good knowledge of technical textile materials in general
- Experience of suppliers and manufacturing technologies: knitting, weaving, non-weaving, laminating, flocking, bonding, TPR and embossing
- Willingness and enthusiasm to learn and create innovative solutions
- Good written and spoken English
- Willingness for prototyping and piloting in practice in order to create innovative solutions
- Knowledge about product safety of textiles (REACH, RoHS and other related directives)

Your main responsibility will be to manage customer support requests for our business customers, sales subsidiaries and distributors. Creating support and maintenance material for relevant B2B products will also be a part of your job. In this position you will also have a unique possibility to participate in new development projects as an After Sales representative. The supported products are in the Club Solutions and Team Sports segments.
You will report to the Manager, Customer Support, B2B and you will be working in close co-operation with other Customer Support Specialists in Global and Local After Sales Teams.

You will be in charge of implementing mechanical pilot projects. The job will also include mechanical specifications, design and verification implementation of the final products in our product development programs. As a member of the mechanical development team in our R&D function, you will work closely with our industrial designers, and support our designers in other R&D teams. You will also participate in technical negotiations with our suppliers in China.
